The California Department of Corporations is responsible for regulating health care service plans. The department has a toll-free telephone number (1-800-400-0815) to receive complaints regarding health plans. If you have a grievance against the above-listed health plans, you should contact the plan and use the plan's grievance process. If you need the department's help with a complaint involving an emergency grievance or with a grievance that has not been satisfactorily resolved by the above-listed plans, you may call the department's toll-free number.
