Suspension of Benefits for Other Than Return to Covered Employment

A retiree who has his monthly pension benefit suspended, in whole or in part, by the Southern California IBEW-NECA Pension Plan, will have his retiree coverage cancelled commencing with the first day of the month following the month in which the Administrative Office issues the written suspension notice to the retiree.

Unless the suspension of benefits is due to Non-Covered Electrical Employment, the retiree and eligible spouse will be offered non-subsidized retiree COBRA coverage.  Refer to the section in this SPD entitled "COBRA".

Unless otherwise provided in the Plan, your eligibility for retiree health coverage resumes in the month the Pension Fund next issues you a full pension check(s).
