The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce benefit enhancements which become effective July 1, 2008. A number of Health Fund benefits for Active and Retiree Health Plan participants and dependents have been improved as follows:

1. Kaiser Permanente & PacifiCare enrolled participants, retirees and their dependents will now pay a $5 office visit co-payment.
2. The Mandatory Generic Prescription Drug Plan provides for an increase from four (4) to eight (8) pills per prescription per month for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

3. The Self-Funded Indemnity Plan (Blue Cross/Anthem) is amended to provide coverage for bariatric surgery. This benefit is available only to Active Health Plan Participants. Please click here for further information.
4. The Self-Funded Indemnity Plan is amended to provide expanded coverage for adult immunizations based upon current recommendations for adult immunizations established by the Centers for Disease Control. Examples of covered adult immunizations include vaccinations for influenza (flu), pneumonia, shingles, and human papillomavirus (HPV).
