The SC IBEW-NECA Trust Funds recently mailed out the new changes to Defined Benefit Plan Document:
Amendment 4 - An Examining Officer ("EO") of an IBEW Local shall not have his benefits suspended while serving as an EO of an IBEW Local Union.
Amendment 5 - On or after attainment of Normal Retirement Age and prior to the first day of the month following the month in which the Pensioner attains age 70 1/2, a Pensioner who has not attained age 70 1/2, must refrain from working 40 or more hours in any calendar month in Suspendible Employment as defined further in Article 9, Section 9.7(c).
Amendment 6 - Only pension benefits accrued on and after July 1, 1986 shall be suspendible for any calendar month in which a Pensioner holds a C-10 Electrical Contracting License and only pension benefits accrued on and after March 1, 1995 shall be suspended for any calendar month in which a Pensioner holds any other form of Electrical Contracting License, including but not limited to a C-7 License.
Amendment 7 - Definition of Spouse
Amendment 8 - During the period 9/1/2008 through 10/31/2013, a Pensioner may work for a Prevailing Wage Compliance firm so long as the only clients of the firm are Public Agencies and/or Local Unions.
