A number of benefits for Active and Retiree Health Plan participants and dependents have been improved.

The Active Health Plan has been improved as follows:

  1. The Board of Trustees has amended the SC IBEW-NECA Active Health Plan to replace the section labeled as “Domestic Partners (Same Sex)” with a new section labeled “Domestic Partners”.   The Domestic Partner benefit has been expanded to include same sex and opposite sex domestic partners.  Click here for more information »
  2. Effective January 1, 2009, the Self-Funded IBEW-NECA Dental Plan is terminated and is replaced with the Delta Dental PPO Plan.  Click here for more information »

The Retiree Health Plan has been improved as follows:

  1. The Board of Trustees approved the amendment of the SC IBEW-NECA Retiree Health Plan to provide expansion and clarification of coverage under the Premium Reimbursement Plan and change of frequency of reimbursement under the Premium Reimbursement Plan and the Medicare Supplement Plan.  Click here for more information »
  2. Effective August 1, 2008 the SC IBEW-NECA Retiree Health Plan is amended to provide a special rule for Medicare “Double Coverage” Members.  This amendment is consistent with recent actions by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.  Click here for more information »
