ARTICLE II
ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION
Section 1: Each Covered Employee who is a Participant in the Southern California
IBEW-NECA Pension Plan (Defined Benefit Plan) on July 1, 1985 will automatically
become a Participant in the Plan on July 1, 1985.
Section 2: Each Covered Employee not identified in Article II, Section 1 above, will
become a Participant in the Plan on the first day of the month immediately following
the month that he works one full or partial Covered Hour for which contributions are
required to be paid into this Plan.
Section 3: All full-time employees of the Southern California IBEW-NECA Trust
Funds who are not otherwise covered by a collective bargaining agreement became
Participants in the Plan effective July 1, 1993. Full-time non-bargaining unit
employees of the Southern California IBEW-NECA Trust Funds who commence
employment after July 1, 1993 became Participants in this Plan in accordance with the
terms of their employment. Full-time non-bargaining unit employees of the Southern
California IBEW-NECA Administrative Corporation shall become Participants in this
Plan in accordance with the terms of their employment.
Section 4: Employees of the sponsoring organizations of this Plan and other nonbargaining
unit employees shall be permitted to participate in this Plan upon execution
of a Participation Agreement approved by the Board of Trustees of the Southern
California IBEW-NECA Pension Trust Fund.
Section 5: In 1995, the IBEW Individual Retirement Supplement Money Purchase Plan
merged into this Plan and the participants of that Plan automatically became
Participants in this Plan. A Covered Employee under the Sound Unit Agreement will
become a Participant upon satisfaction of the eligibility criteria under Section 2, above.
